OUTLINE:
This course is focused on helping students gain valuable skills that will aid in the transition between school and the workforce. The course has both practical and theory components. It is important to note that this course cannot be endorsed with Merit or Excellence, nor will it allow students to meet UE literacy requirements. If a student is at NCEA Level 2, this course may lead on to the student participating in Gateway at Year 13, and completing Level 3 Unit Standards. If a student is at NCEA Level 3, this course may aid a student in applying for an apprenticeship, pre trade course, continuing on to tertiary education, or transitioning into the workforce.
