COURSE CONTENT
Subjects Offered: Painting, Sculpture, Photography Outcomes
Painting: $55 This will subsidise the cost of a workbook, oil paints, brushes, mediums, pens, pencils and other materials. Photography: The costs will vary between students depending on whether or not they already own a camera. The fixed costs are $25 to cover materials for the year and final folio printing costs of $23 per A1 sheet (x3) Sculpture: $25 to subsidise the cost of materials for the year and final folio printing costs of $23 per A1 sheet (x3) ASSESSMENT
3.2 Develop practical processes and procedures in a particular field (Sculpture, Painting, or Photography). 4 Credits 3.3 Investigate and develop ideas and methods in the context of a drawing study (in Painting, Photography, or Sculpture). 4 Credits 3.4 Produce original work to show extensive knowledge of art making methods and ideas. 12 Credits Internal assessment of 3.2 & 3.3 with external moderation. FUTURE STUDIES / CAREER OPTIONS
Over the years, many old boys have continued onto careers in a wide variety of art, design, teaching and architecture based industries. We have developed a strong relationship and work closely with Massey school of design in Wellington who are a leading tertiary provider in design studies. From Massey, past students have graduated and gone on to exciting careers as Industrial designers, visual communication specialists and spatial architectural designers to name a few. Massey have been clear about their recognition of the quality of McGlashan graduates entering their programmes. |
