Students need to be diligent and demonstrate independent work habits and good time management skills. This is a fully internally assessed subject. Students will be able to plan, implement, report and evaluate their lifestyles, outdoor education expedition and individual sporting programmes. Outdoor Education Students will be required to develop and implement the skills involving safety management, necessary to plan, implement and lead an expedition in the outdoors. These skills will be applied during a snow caving expedition at the Wanaka Snow Farm. There is the possibility of courses in Scuba Diving for your PADI Qualification and First Aid. Sports Education Students will be required to plan, and implement a skill learning programme while investigating applying motor learning principles and a biochemical analysis all within a sports activity context. Community Studies Students will be required to carry out research on a current community issue in health and physical education. ASSESSMENT
UE LITERACY
